Growing up I used to look through photos of my father during the time of when he had first got into cars. He was a true "Greaser", leather jacket and all. His first pride and joy was a 57 Chevy all done up by himself. My father the gear head. So in 68 he purchased a Ford Fairlane 500 2 door coupe. He used to tell me he had great visions of what he was going to do to it. Well 5 years later here comes child number 4, me, and he has to sell. I have done a number of different Fords myself through the past 20 years but always wanted to do that car for him. Well always making excuses when I would come across this rare car for sell, I never did it. After he passed at the age of 60 from cancer I was pissed at myself for never giving him this. So I decided to do the car for myself and never sell, but I couldn't find one. I finally did, but at the wrong time. I was unemployed and had no leads, I couldn't pass it, so i sold my chopper for a huge loss and bought it. So still with no job, I chose to use the last of my money to get it looking ok and road ready. By doing this I let my truck get repoed. This was a super build on a budget. This will always truly be his car and I am only holding it for him.
