All of my life I've wanted a '70 'Cuda. My dreams finally came true in 2001 when my wife and I found this Barracuda on Ebay. Her only wish: If I fix it up I've got to drive it! I flew to Idaho w/ my son, bought it and drove it home to Puyallup, WA that day. It didn't get any major work ($) for about five years. Finally, in 2006, I was able to put some cash together and take up offers to help by two friends (Ernie and Joe). We tore out the trunk and rusty patch panels. Pulled off the door-guards and a variety of other things. Replaced the interior plastic and upholstry. The Joe offered his shop and in 2007 we begin the paint process. Down to metal and then built it up from there. Despite everything I'd heard and seen, I had NO idea what an ordeal one had to go through to get a quality paint job. We finished last summer and I entered a few "show-n-shines" for fun. Even won a couple awards! My car has a 440 with 4 bbl Edelbrock with a 727 with a B&M shift kit. It's been a kick learning about the process, even if it was my first time! Thanks again!
