1956 GMC 100 Stepside

1956 GMC 100 Stepside

This truck is a 1956 GMC 100 Stepside that my dad and I purchased locally in June 2004 when I was 18. I have been restoring it whenever I come to Phoenix during the weekends and summers while I finish my degree at NAU in Flagstaff. The truck had a very rough body, and it took me learning the skills of dent removal, welding, and body filling in order to bring it to where it is right now. I have done hundreds of hours of body work and still have a long way to go. I am looking to paint it this summer (turquoise & white two-tone)and hopefully completing the project in late 2009 early 2010. The truck has had a frame off restoration and I have modified the drivetrain to include a 327 small block chevy, sm420 truck tranny, and rear end with 3.07 gear ratio. When I finish it, I plan on keeping it for as long as I can and enjoying it as much as I can.
