This is my 1980 Cutlass Supreme. I purchased this vehicle in 1992 when I was 16 and it was my first car. It was in fair condition for a 12 year old car with the typical Cleveland Ohio rust. I drove it all through high school and had a blast with it. The car sat for many years after I graduated high school while I attended college, got married and bought a house. I wanted to get my now neglected Cutlass back on the road, looking and performing better than new! I am a 'gear-head' at heart and I can never leave a stock car alone so the wrenches began to fly. The first step was to pull out the original 260 Olds and replace it with the 1970 350 Olds Rocket I rebuilt. When that was complete I wanted to take care of the rust and faded original paint. I took a road trip to the Carolinas and snagged up a set of rust free doors and a rear bumper. I stripped the entire car apart to prepare the body for paint and to fix any dents or rusted areas. It took me about 4 years from start to fininsh to complete the restoration. Last summer I was finally able to take my car to its first car show since its completion and won first place in my class. It seems like I can't drive this car enough now. People can't believe that I still have my very first car after 16 years. This one is a keeper.
