This 1969 Dart began life as a 273ci Dart GT. It took me, with the help of many others, two years to complete the car. I purchased this car in 1994 from a friend of mine and used it as my daily driver to get back and forth to work. In 1996 I was in need of some money and the same friend I bought it from offered to buy it, he kept it stored at his place until I was able to purchase the car once more from him. I started the restoration in 2007 with the hopes of completing it before it turned 40 years old. The car has a 340ci now with a 727 transmission. The front suspension has been upgraded to an AlterKtion unit with coilover shocks. The Dart also features four wheel disc brakes by Wilwood, QA1 adjustable shocks on all four corners, and a set of Centerline Qualifier wheels with BFG's all around. The interior is stock appearing with some added comfort in the seats. We painted the car in B5 blue and added the white GTS rear stripe to the trunk. My friend that sold me the car saw it when it was about half done and will unfortunately never get to see the completed piece but I know he would have loved the outcome and I hope you do too.
