1970 chevrolet chevelle ss 454

well in the depth of winter in 2003. my great wife let me purchase my dream car,a 1970 chevelle ss 454. she thought we were going to clean it up and drive it in the spring. to her dismay she came home from work and i had it totaly torn appart to do a full resto. on it and she was bummed ! so i used some savings we had to start the restoration and after 6 yrs and a lot of work and money later i was finished with it for our 10th wedding anniversary and the cars 40th and my 40th birthday! i have done every thing on the car but the vinyl top and seat covers. i have learned aloy along the way and alot from tv shows and their sponcers! (sunday is my religous tv day) and from helping my friends on there projects also ! our car was a little rusty so i hung 2 new gm quarters on it and had to make a few little patch panels my self. and every thing on the car has been restored or is new. i even built my owne body rotissery to work on it with.i like to work with my hands and mind and get my both kids involved in it also. in the time i was re doing my car, my son(now 17)and i did a frame on resto on his 70 malibu 400 he bought when he was 12yr old. my wife and i make a modest $50,000.00 a year together but we both have love for old cars and go to lots of car shows with the family and plan our vacations arround them. thank you dupli color for this contest and your great products !
